Protecting and Replenishing Collections

At the Shandryholivska Village Library, local residents brought their own books to replenish the library’s lost collection. They purchased new children’s educational books in part thanks to the help of the Lemons for Learning nonprofit in Massachusetts.

At the Scientific Library of O. M. Beketov Kharkiv National University of Urban Economy, librarians had to clean the premises of broken glass, move the valuable and rare literature to a safer place, and cover the books with film to protect from flooding.
