  З Козою та щедрівками під звуки оркестру: як миколаївців на міських зупинках вітали зі Старим Новим роком.

  On January 13, the military orchestra as well as students of the Mykolaiv Vocational College of Culture and Arts congratulated the people of Mykolaiv with the Old New Year, showing a rich and bright concert program. The event was held with the support of the Department of Culture and Cultural Heritage Protection of the MMR and took place in an unusual way, because the concerts took place on open platforms - 12 public transport stops in the city.

  In the Kherson Region, Ksenia Malyukova and her creative group visited the village of Mala Kardashinka, Holoprystan district. This is an ancient farm of Oleshkiv Volost, Dnipro County, Tavriy Province, founded in 1837 as a result of the reorganization of the Kardashyn farms. The necklace looks quite unusual. In the South, such a glass necklace, similar to a bright Christmas tree decoration, was called "scales" and was worn on major holidays.

  Image of kindergarten children from Kindergarten No. 1 in the Korabelnyi District of Mykolaiv during the Third Soviet Famine. Children such as these starving in the famine were referred to as «пухлі діти», "chubby children" because of their distended abdomens.
